2021 Orlando Abrigo Barbaresco Meruzzano

I saw this one on a closeout list and grabbed it right away. You'll want to do the same thing at an almost unheard of price for a single vineyard Barbaresco.

This wine is made from the finest Nebbiolo grapes sourced exclusively from the Meruzzano Cru (vineyard)—an elevated plateau recognized for limestone-slate soils and rigorous farming standards.  It is one of the very best vineyards in all of Barbaresco.

It has a beautiful intense ruby red color, with fragrances of red fruits on the nose accompanied by hints of mint and sage. On the palate, it arrives well-balanced, elegant and with fine and noble tannins from the outset. It is perfect to pair with roasts, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
