There are a few ideas happening here.
First, when I was in Argentina, I heard a few people say something in a way that made it click more for me: “Wine IS food”. Not “wine goes with food.” Wine isn’t just a beverage to have with your dinner, it is an integral part of the meal.
Second, these are all great summer wines. When I think of delicious summer wines, my mind goes to citrus, tropical, floral, acidic red fruit, bright and lifted flavors, juicy acidity in both reds and whites, maybe combined with some pepperiness in a nice red.
Finally, my goal was also to make dishes that pair well with the wines that you might make at home or order from take-out. The idea is that these wines go with food people just eat everyday. I want you to be able to take these home and enjoy them with YOUR food, not just food at a restaurant.
While some of these wines you may not heard of, rest assured they are fantastic for the summer months and regular drinking.
