Since Bardstown came on the scene they have been a bit swashbuckling. Like some of their Scotch counterparts, they can't name what whiskeys are going into their blends, but they can give enough details so the resourceful consumer can figure it out. When they opened, they were only able to use sourced whiskey just like any newly opened craft bourbon distiller.
Now Bardstown is on to making their own product and their Origin series is a high quality product that has become readily available at a friendly price point.
Their Collaborative Series offers a chance to taste their blends while partnering with some big name companies. The whiskey in these bottles has been sourced, but Bardstown became known for being fantastic blenders before they started releasing their own product. The whiskeys we'll be tasting at this event are all from their Collaborative Series.

TASTING NOTES
Almond, cinnamon, potpourri, and baked cherry circle traditional rye notes of mint and herbal tea. A luscious mouthfeel leads to a luxurious balance between lightly tannic oak and rich berry compote.

Like Bardstown Bourbon Company, Foursquare is defined by innovation and transparency throughout their production process. Enjoy this custom blend of 7 yr rye and 17 yr bourbon, designed to beautifully accentuate Barbados flavor, aged for 23 months in Foursquare rum barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Plantain, toasted almond, and clove meld with coconut, peanut, orange zest, and raisin. A vibrant palate balances rye spice with aged oak, leading to an enveloping, complex finish of baked fruit, lingering spice, and caramel sweetness.

DESCRIPTION
Iconic trailblazers of craft brewing, Goose Island is a perfect partner for innovation. This bespoke blend of 6 and 7 year Kentucky bourbon has been aged an additional 12 months in Bourbon County stout barrels, then married with a beautiful 9 year Kentucky bourbon, creating an expression bursting with chocolate malt and dried cherry.
TASTING NOTES
