We'd love to do a blending session with you all! We'll work with Master Blender Amanda Beckwith - who has worked directly under the tutelage of Nancy Fraley, known as "The Nose" in the spirits business. 

On September 14th, we'll taste four of Virginia Distillery's Whiskeys and then blend our own:

Tasting:

Split Barrel - a bridge between Bourbon and American Single Malt, this is 50% Bardstown Bourbon with 50% Virginia Distilling American Single malt. This is an entry level whiskey in two ways - introduction to ASM and affordability!

Central Waters Brewing Co. Black Gold Stout Cask Finish - This Limited Edition offering showcases a boldly expressive American Single Malt, complemented by the rich character of Central Waters Brewing Co.’s Black Gold Imperial Stout. Just twelve barrels were sourced for this release.

Cigar Blend - Made from 100% malted barley and aged in an imaginative blend of casks for a minimum of seven years. Aged in blend of barrels including a whisper of smoke from Islay casks adds depth and intrigue. Aromas of red berries and leather that deepen into flavors of rich walnut and date cake with candied lemon peel, allspice, and clove, finishing with notes of dark chocolate and a subtle whiff of smoke.

Courage and Conviction - This is the blend that Virginia Distilling landed on that we get to adjust: Aged a minimum of five years, this 100% malted barley whisky is matured in 50% former bourbon, 25% sherry & 25% cuvée wine casks.Truly a remarkable whiskey, this is the one we will reblend to bring our the characteristics you all love.
