The Enomatic is here!

People who love wine also love to discover new wines.

Without the ability to taste a wine, you are often limited to selecting a wine solely based on a label, price, or review. That is why we at The Coffee Grounds believe that in addition to our knowledge of wine, the pleasure of tasting can lead to the right choice.

In this spirit, we are introducing a state-of-the-art Italian designed and manufactured Wine Serving System - the Enomatic. You will be able to taste a wine before purchasing the bottle or you can enjoy a glass of wine with your sandwich or after work with friends.

At the press of a button, you will be able to serve the wine of your choice from 12 ever-changing varieties. Choose from 3 size pours - a 1 oz. sample, a 3 oz. taste, or a 5 oz. glass of wine. Join in the fun and excitement at The Coffee Grounds with the Enomatic. Salut!

New Beer

Looking for some fun, new beers?

Try Little Sumpin' Extra Ale from Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma, CA. This brew pours an clear amber gold, with aromas of pineapple, cantaloupe, and mango. Right after the burst of fruit, you get a very powerful layer of piney hop bitterness that lingers well after the sip. A really enjoyable, super hoppy double IPA. Good job, Lagunitas.

From New Glarus Brewing Company's Unplugged series, in New Glarus, WI, Old English Porter is a brown porter based on the style popular in 1870's London. The beer was aged on wood to extract sweetness from toasted oak. Half of the batch went through a souring fermentation, in the traditional way, to promote the characteristic wine-like acidity.

Looking for gluten-free beer? Try Bard's Beer made in Utica, NY. Rich and refreshing, Bard's Beer is not only the world's first craft-brewed gluten-free beer, it's also the only beer that's brewed with 100% malted gluten-free sorghum. Sorghum has been used in making beer for centuries in other parts of the world and is naturally gluten-free.

We have two new beers from Arcadia Brewing Company in Battle Creek, MI. Hopmouth Double IPA is a hop lover's delight! Deep amber hue with a generous white head, Hopmouth showcases a rich, toasty flavor and sweet caramel notes. The hops are reminiscent of citrus and pine, while the flavors linger well after the last sip. This is a BIG beer. London Porter is unique in its rich, smoky, peaty characteristics. Brewed using seven varieties of premium European malted barley, this full-bodied beer is characterized by hints of chocolate and coffee, and balanced by a long-lingering hoppy bitterness.

Ready for grilling season, we have rib-eyes, tenderloins, ground beef patties, New York strips, round roasts, short ribs, and ground hamburger from Muddy Flats Cattle Company in Augusta. Genetically predisposed to intense marbling, this remarkable beef is individually packed in cryovac for your convenience.

Wisconsin Artisinal Cheeses

While Wisconsin has always been known for it's cheese, we have some of the finest handmade, small farmstead cheeses in the world made right here in our backyard. Consider some of these great award-winning cheeses when looking for something from Wisconsin.

Big Ed's is made by Saxon Homestead Creamery on the shores of Lake Michigan in Cleveland, Wisconsin. With a buttery body, young, mild, but full of flavor, it is great for both first time tasters and afficionados. Hook's Cheese Company, in Mineral Point, has been making excellent quality cheeses in the rolling hills of southwest Wisconsin for 28 years. Look for their handcrafted Garlic Dill, Muenster, Tomato-Basil Cheddar, 5-year Cheddar, and Monteray Jack in our store. Nordic Creamery, makes small handcrafted batches of cheese in the "driftless" area of Wisconsin, an area where the glaciers passed by. Enjoy their Capriko, Mountain Jack, Mild Cheddar, and Feddost - handcrafted with an infusion of cumin and cloves. From Vern's Cheese, Inc., Chilton, Wisconsin, we have a 6 year, 7 year, 8 year, and 9 year old Cheddar. Also in Westby, Hidden Springs Creamery, is a sustainable sheep dairy making soft, creamy, rich and really delicious cheeses. One of their varieties has fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, and sea salt. Their newest cheese has honey and fresh lavender. Spread these cheeses on crackers, bagels, or a warm baguette. Our favorite from Otter Creek Organic Farm, in Black Earth, is the Pesto Cheddar, made with basil-infused olive oil from local artisan producer.

New From Harney & Sons

Harney & Sons is an American tea company specializing in high-quality loose teas.

You can enjoy a cup of Paris Tea Blend in our store or purchase it bulk. This fruity black tea has a hint of lemony Bergamot and is reminiscent of one of the most popular blends in Paris. We also have many other teas in boxes and tins, including Japanese Sencha, Tropical Green, Vanilla Comoro, and Chinese Flower.

We are happy to offer two elegant Art Teas. Green tea leaves are cured and then scented with high-quality flowers. Each flower is hand-picked, hand-pressed and sewn by hand. One glance into a glass teapot explains the term art teas - also referred to as display teas.
